Deputy Prime Minister congratulates Michael Perham
The Deputy Prime Minister today (3/1/2007) sent a personal message of congratulations to Michael Perham, the 14-year old British schoolboy who today sailed into the history books as the youngest person to cross the Atlantic single-handed.
The Deputy Prime Minister said:
'Michael has proved himself another hugely successful sailor in the great British maritime tradition. I have no doubt that the whole country will join me in sending congratulations on this remarkable achievement by such a young man'.
